There is plenty of special attraction to visit in the wonderful province of Quebec. Some of them are season specific and others are available all seasons. As a Geek, there is one event, one attraction that I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of pop culture content and who would like to see Montreal in cosplay.

It is the Montreal Comic Con. It is a three-day event held in the Palais des Congrès. I have attended this event on several occasion and I am, each time, enchanted. It is a great place to express what you love without judgement and to meet people who share your interest and level of passion for different things. You don’t need to be dressed up or to be a fan of anything to attend. All you need is a bit of curiosity, an open mind and nostalgia.

Montreal Comic Con turns the Palais des Congrès into a shopping hub. You can be looking for specific Comic books, great graphic tees, toys from your childhood and collector items. You might also want to encourage artists or artisans at the convention. There is also a long list of celebrities attending the Comic Con too. You can get your pictures taken with them, get an autograph or chit chat if you don’t have the budget. You will also see people dressed as the characters of famous Tv Shows, movies, anime and games. Children and adults will get a chance to see and meet their favourite characters.

For a moment, it will feel like you are at Disney world.  Why should you attend? You might ask. Because if you want to experience that moment when you are part of the culture, part of a community that loves and is passionate about things you might like as well.
